Former VHS Gator Girl named captain of the Alcorn State Golden Girls

Vicksburg native Kevia Davis has been selected as captain of Alcorn State University Golden Girls dance team.

Davis, a former Gator Girl at Vicksburg High School will now lead a group of ladies who are known for putting on great performances in front of huge crowds at Braves football games. The Golden Girls dance throughout the school year to the sounds of the ASU band, and their halftime performances get the crowd on their feet to cheer on the ladies’ great dance moves.

The Golden Girls were founded in 1968 and have been active ever since.

Davis is a 2018 graduate of VHS where she was the captain of the Gator Girls in her senior year.
