Two former Vicksburg High football players led their teams to victory this past weekend in the NFL and college games.

Malcolm Butler and Nick Anderson both had outstanding performances on defense — Butler for the Tennessee Titans and Anderson for Tulane University.

Butler made four tackles Sunday for the Titans who went on to defeat the Minnesota Vikings in a close 31-30 battle.

Anderson grabbed eight tackles Saturday for the Tulane Green Wave, which won 66-24 against the University of Southern Mississippi. Tulane selected him as the player of the week for his performance.

Butler graduated from VHS in 2009, and Anderson graduated in 2018. Both players have made a great impact on their teams.
