Gators are on a five game winning streak after beating Natchez 19-7

Vicksburg High School baseball team got their fifth win in a row on Monday, crushing Natchez 19-7.

Natchez took a 3-0 lead in the first inning after a few solid hits.

In the second inning, Mikey Johnson grounded to second the baseman, but Tyler Carter was able to get the run score for VHS. The Gators quickly got the themselves on track when Chris Green hit a ground ball and eventually scored, along with Mincer Minor IV on a error.

VHS profited the most from the third inning when they had 12 run scores with big hits which came from Minor, Decedric Brown, Rashad McCroy and Tyler Carter, who got a double.

McCroy went 3 for 4 at the plate while Miner went 2 for 3 with two RBIs. Chris Green, Connor Harrigill, Carter and Brown each collected one hit in the win.

Green pitched in the victory for the Gators and struck out seven on the night.
