The Vicksburg High School Gators boy’s basketball team is set to host the Grenada Chargers tonight in hopes of a big win to advance in the playoffs.

The Gators are coming off of a 63-49 loss to Callaway last Friday, but they are more ready than ever to gain a victory tonight and forget the loss last week. Grenada and VHS have not played each other this year so it will be a new experience on both sides.

Grenada (13-15) has struggled most of the season compared to the Gators who are 19-9 on the year. The Gators have a triple threat—Peytin Jackson, Cameron Butler and Taylon Smith—who have all been putting up impressive numbers for Vicksburg all season, making it even harder for Grenada to win tonight.

Tipoff is 6 p.m. at Vicksburg High School.
