Grambling State volleyball coach cuts her entire team

Grambling State Head Volleyball Coach Chelsey Lucas has cut her entire team from the roster according to multiple reports.

All 19 players were notified on Monday and those who were on scholarship will not have those renewed.

“It’s her decision to make, and she’s got some quality players coming on board. I think 13 or 14 are coming on board. So, I hate to say out with the old, but in with the new a little bit,” GSU Athletics Communications Director Brian Howard said.

Lucas was hired in February and is a 2007 graduate of GSU. She also had coaching stints at Alcorn State and Arkansas Pine-Bluff.

As of now, all players have been removed from the GSU roster site and the photo shown below is what pops up when one clicks on the volleyball roster:
