Gulfport man arrested for attempting to run over officers

A man was arrested in Gulfport on Tuesday morning after allegedly threatening to run over police.

Police pulled over 31-year-old Aaron Shey Miller but he quickly drove away and ended up backing into a patrol car.

Miller attempted to run over officers but they were able to arrest him and he now faces charges of assault on a law enforcement officer and attempted injury of a public service animal due to a K-9 being in the vehicle.

Miller was booked into the Harrison County Adult Detention Center and his bond was set at $510,000.
