Head-on collision leaves one dead, one hospitalized

The Mississippi Highway Patrol responded to a fatal accident on Highway 16 in Yazoo County on Monday.
A Honda Accord driven by 57-year-old Tracy A. Anderson collided head-on with a Ford F-150 driven by 19-year-old Haley A. McCrory of Vicksburg.
According to authorities, Anderson was pronounced dead at the scene. McCrory was transported to Merit Health in Canton for treatment, though the extent of her injuries is unknown.
The accident remains under investigation by MHP.
