The Jackson State basketball team added two transfers over the weekend to its roster for the upcoming season.

Darius Hicks is transferring from Eastern Kentucky where he averaged 5.8 points per game along with 5.5 rebounds. Prior to playing at Eastern Kentucky, he played at North Carolina State putting up 4.3 points per game.

In 2016, Hicks was a 3-star recruit from Quitman High School in Mississippi.

Demarion Bariffe-Smith is coming to JSU from Des Moines Area Community College where he was the team’s lead scorer. He averaged 13.7 points per game and was a profound three-point shooter.

JSU finished with a 15-17 record last season. They were on a five-game winning streak before the season came to an end.
