Jackson State dominates Alabama State to move to SWAC semifinals
The Jackson State University Tigers continue to show that they’re not a team to be taken lightly as they handed Alabama State a big loss on Tuesday.
Ameshya Williams led the Tigers to victory scoring 23 points and 17 rebounds in the big game. She also had five blocks and two steals for JSU as they took home the 71-53 win.
ASU began the game with confidence and only trailed JSU by one point, 15-14, at the end of the first quarter. By halftime, the Hornets were losing by double digits.
The victory gives JSU a 19-10 record, and they advance to the SWAC semifinals.
The No. 1 JSU Tigers play the No. 3 Alabama A&M Bulldogs (17-13) on Friday, March 13, at noon.
