After a 4-8 season, Jackson State University has six new signees who will join the Tigers for the 2020 season.

Jackson State lost a quarterback this week when Derrick Ponder announced that he will not return.

JSU head coach John Hendrick is looking to make his second year a successful one by bringing in a few transfer players who already have collegiate experience. Hendrick also recently made some coaching changes by placing TC Taylor as the new offensive coordinator.

JSU football signees:

  • Paxton Branning – center from Mississippi Delta Community College.
  • Logan Bowers – punter/kicker will transfer from East Tennessee State University.
  • Ke’Shawn Brinkley – defensive lineman who started at Copiah Lincoln Community College.
  • Radell Washington – a transfer from Southwest Community College.
  • Joshua Rice – a wide receiver from Santa Ana College.
  • Terry Joiner – a linebacker from Noxubee County High School.
