Jefferson County High School shutout Amite on Friday 30-0 in their season opener.

The Tigers had a 16-0 lead by halftime as the defense held up all night and didn’t allow a touchdowns. Michael McComb returned a 40 yard interception for a score.

JC also took control of the second half where they scored another two touchdowns.

Jabari Watson was 8/11 with one touchdown. JJ Claiborne rushed for 150 yards and one touchdown off 13 carries. Jalen Johnson also had a 20 yard touchdown run and Royale Shelvy had three receptions for 123 yards and a touchdown.

Jermall Williams 13 solo tackle with a forced fumble and Tylan Collins grabbed 11 solo tackles.
