Former Warren Central High School football player Joe Shorter helped Albany State to a victory on Saturday.

In the 28-14 win over Mississippi College, Shorter caught a long 40-yard touchdown pass in the second quarter. He finished the game with two catches and 72 receiving yards.

Albany State will play Florida A&M on Saturday.
