St. Aloysius softball player, Kyleigh Cooper, received her first college scholarship offer.

Cooper, a junior pitcher, traveled to Mississippi Valley State University over the weekend where Head Coach Jimmy Buckner offered her a full ride.

Cooper recently wrapped up her junior season with the Flashes, leading the team to the playoffs for the first time in nearly a decade under Head Coach Mike Foley. The two-way star ended the year with 116 strikeouts, a .459 batting average, 28 hits, and 15 RBIs.

Cooper was named VDN’s 2022 Softball Player of the Year and has also surpassed 400 strikeouts.

Although Cooper received an offer, she has not committed to any school at this time, and her recruitment remains open.
