Lady Gators prepare for Madison Jaguars tonight

The Vicksburg High School Lady Gators basketball team are facing the Madison Central Lady Jaguars tonight in Madison.

The Gators have a great start this season, and they plan on doing whatever it takes to come back home with a victory.

The Gators are impressive, especially on the defensive side of the ball, where they have allowed only 26 points against their last two opponents. The Gators are coming off a 69-18 victory against Port Gibson. Sophomore Destiny Sims has averaged 10.5 points in the last two meets.

The Jaguars (2-1) are led by junior Kennedy Ransom, who scored 15 points in their last game against Mendenhall.

Last year when the two teams met, the Gators (2-0) pulled off a 46-34 victory in a big defensive battle.

The game starts at 6 p.m. at Madison Central High School and will be followed by the boy’s game.
