The Lady Gators are ready to redeem themselves after Tuesday’s loss to Madison Central. The loss was the first one for the Gators, and they hope to get back on track tonight in a road game against the Holmes County Central Jaguars.

The Gators practiced hard yesterday to prepare for tonight’s game. Destiny Sims scored 14 points in the last game, and she is also leading the team in scoring, averaging 11.7 points per game.

Defensively, Vicksburg will have to step up against Holmes County (4-1), who are also coming off their first loss of the season against Germantown.  The Lady Gators have been shutting down offenses all season, only allowing their defenders to average 34 points a game.

During the off-season, head coach Troy Stewart prepared his team for hard battles like tonight, and the Gators are confident they can pull off a victory.

The game starts at 6 p.m. at Holmes County High School.
