Lady Vikes defeat Yazoo County in season opener

Warren Central High School girl’s basketball team won their season opener over Yazoo County in a 45-11 win.

Ta’Miya Sims led the Lady Vikings in points, putting up 10 on the day.

WC showed out on defense by barely letting Yazoo get to the basket for points throughout the game. Zy’kerri Segrest grabbed 10 rebounds to go along with her seven points.

The Lady Vikings are led by head coach Darian Hillard and will travel to Jim Hill on Tuesday.
