Warren Central High School softball took down Clinton at home on Thursday in a 10-6 win.

Sarah Cameron Fancher helped WC get on the board with a bunt that led to Mary Evelyn Hossley scoring on a error.

Hits by Abby Morgan and Kennedi McKay along with a double by Kayleigh Karel helped push the Lady Vikes’ lead to 4-0 in the first inning.

A sacrifice by Jenn Smith would give WC a 5-0 lead over Clinton in the second before things heated up in the third.

Makayla Jackson, Zion Harvey, McKay, and Hossley all got scores in the third where WC went ahead with a score of 9-0.

The Arrows had a big fourth and fifth inning where they were able to get six scores to narrow WC’s lead.

Smith sacrificed in the sixth inning that helped Jackson get the final score of the night.

Lola Crozier went 2 for 4 at the plate while Hossley, Fancher, Morgan, Karel, Tyra Bridges, and McKay each had one hit. Smith led with three RBIs.

Abby Morgan struck out two batters and allowed eight hits while Maddie Pant came in and struck out five.

The Lady Vikes now improved their record to 12-7 under head coach Dana McGiveny
