Lady Vikes take down West Lincoln and West Marion on Saturday

Game One

11 runs run in the third inning helped Warren Central’s softball team secure a 14-0 win over West Marion on Saturday.

Tyra Bridges started strong with a two score hit. The Lady Vikes would get on the board once in the second inning when Lola Crozier doubled and Annalyn Nevels got the run score.

WC scored 11 hits in the third inning resulting in a a shut out, ending the game.

Crozier went perfect at the plate by going 3 for 3 along with three RBIs. Jenn Smith brought in two hits along with on RBI while Makayla Jackson, Nevels, Bridges, and Kamryn Morson each had one hit. Nevels also had three RBIs.

Abby Morgan only allowed one hit in the win while striking out six.

Game Two

The Lady Vikes pulled off a 5-3 victory over West Lincoln in game two.

Sarah Cameron Fancher and Jenn Smith allowed WC to get the first two scores of the game after big hits.

WC would maintain their lead heading into the fifth in with a score of 2-1. Caroline Hedgepeth and  Mailey Kate Young got hits off for West Lincoln to as they took a 3-2 lead over WC.

In the final inning, Smith and Morson both doubled and gave the Lady Vikes the 5-3 victory.

Maddie Pant struck out four batters on the day.

WC finished with 11 hits as Mary Evelyn Hossley, Fancher, Smith, Morson, and Bridges all had two hits and Zion Harvey got one hit.
