Vicksburg resident charged with manslaughter in Madison Parish

Vicksburg resident Lakeesha Lashounda Lewis, 35, has been arrested and charged with manslaughter in Madison Parish.

According to a report by The Madison Journal, on Sunday, around 3 a.m., an incident occurred on I-20 near the Tallulah exit. A man from Rayville, Louisiana, was reportedly shot by a passenger while he was driving, which led to a crash. When the Madison Parish Sheriff’s Office arrived at the scene, they discovered the victim had a gunshot wound in his leg.

Lewis was taken into custody by the Madison Parish Sheriff’s Office.

The victim has not been named at this time.
