Former Warren Central High School football player Malik Sims has announced that he has received a football scholarship offer from Mississippi State University.

Sims made the announcement Friday on Twitter.

Earlier this year, Sims announced that he would be attending Hinds Community College on a football scholarship. With this offer from MSU, Sims can choose to transfer at the end of this first season with Hinds.

Sims graduated in May from Warren Central High School where he won a Golden Helmet Award. He started the past three seasons under Vikings head coach Josh Morgan and was the key to the Vikings defense over the past few years.

MSU is the the biggest school to offer Sims a scholarship as he prepares for his freshman season at Hinds CC.
