McDaniel named as the SBLive Mississippi Coach of the Year

Vicksburg High School’s Todd McDaniel has been named as the SBLive Mississippi Coach of the Year.

The announcement was made on Thursday over social media.

McDaniel was selected over state championship coaches due to his turning around the VHS football team and leading them to a district title for the first time in 32 years and a third-round playoff appearance for the first time in 21 years.

McDaniel recently wrapped up his third season at VHS with a 10-3 record.
