Mississippi Food Network is helping feed hungry flood victims
The Mississippi Food Network recently partnered with the Eagle Lake Water Association to pack up boxes of food for more than 160 families to ensure vulnerable flood victims had the food they needed.
“This is what we raise money all year to do. To be sure to be in that position to help people in need,” Marilyn Blackledge, with MFN, told WAPT. “We are just trying to make sure people in Mississippi are eating, not missing meals and able to help them.”
The boxes of food were distributed at Redwood Elementary School in Redwood, north of Vicksburg off Highway 61.
