Mississippi man charged with capital murder of his 3-month-old baby

A Mississippi man has been arrested for his role in the death of his 3-month-old child.

21-year-old Gabriel Girner was arrested in Panola County and charged with capital murder.

The baby girl was found unresponsive on June 14 and was taken to Le Bonheur Children’s Hospital in Memphis, Tennessee where she died on the same day. It was determined that the baby suffered from blunt force trauma to the head and had bruises on her buttocks, chest and neck.

The child’s mother is 16-years-old and youth court will handle her case.
