Mississippi State University football landed a 2021 linebacker recruit from Georgia this weekend to help the future of the Bulldog defense.

Thomas Davis announced on Twitter that he will be joining the Bulldogs after his 2020-2021 senior season at Lowndes High School in Valdosta, Ga.

“Thanks to everyone that supported me in this process and all the schools that gave me an opportunity to be apart of their team. With that being said, I will be taking my talents and knowledge to (Mississippi State University),” Davis wrote.

Davis led Lowndes High School to  14-1 record and a state championship appearance this past season. He finished his junior year with 47 tackles and 11 sacks, which impressed first-year MSU coach Mike Leach.

Davis originally committed to South Alabama but now he will take his talents to Starkville to play for the Bulldogs.
