Mississippi woman allegedly kills her fiancé while two children were sleeping

A Brandon woman has been accused of killing her fiancé just minutes after Valentine’s Day.

23-year-old Ashley Tanner Shaw was arrested after police were called to the home and found the victim with a stab wound to the chest.

The suspect’s two children were inside the home at the time but were asleep during the incident. They were eventually taken by Child Protective Services.

Shaw was taken into custody and booked into the Rankin County Jail. She was denied bond at her initial court appearance.
