Vicksburg High School softball took out Yazoo
City in a 7-1 victory on Saturday.

Lili Kistler got things started with a double in the second inning that led to Trinity McGloster getting the run. Kistler would soon steal at home after a hit from Charli VanNorman to put the Missy Gators up 2-0.

VHS would get on the board once in the third after Jo’Lencia Howard got a double followed by a single from Jordan Grace as they took a 3-0 lead.

The fourth inning would be the most profitable for the Missy Gators after they picked up three more runs after Anzley Keen reached on an error while Raylyn Parson and Kistler got a hit.

The Missy Gators maintained their lead and took home the 7-1 win as Lexi Kister struck out three and only allowed one hit.

Lili went 3 for 3 at the plate with two RBIs along with Grace who had two RBIs and one hit.

VanNorman, Parson and Howard also had a hit.

The Missy Gators will travel to Madison Central on Tuesday night.
