Missy Gators defeat Jim Hill 72-51

Vicksburg High School girl’s basketball team went on the road on Friday and came out with a 72-51 win over Jim Hill.

Destini Sims led with 22 points, seven steals, and seven assists in the victory. Ja’Na Colenburg also stepped up with 19 on the board and snatching six steals. Janiah Caples and Jelisa Tyler both had six points and five rebounds each as Caples also led the team with 10 assists and five steals.

The Missy Gators continued to put pressure on Jim Hill and blew them out by over 20 points. Layla Carter added nine points, six steals, and seven rebounds. Kalia Bland and Keirra James both scored four each and Cynia Johnson added two.

VHS will host Clinton on Tuesday.
