The Missy Gators volleyball team entered district play on Thursday and defeated Forest Hill High in four sets. The team finished 3-1 (25-15, 25-21, 25-18).

Mary Katherine Archer had a big night for us and relied heavily on our freshman girl,” head coach Deborah Brown said. “Lexi and Lili Kistler also had a huge impact on our win.”

VHS went back and forth with Forest Hill in all four set, but big plays and quick thinking led to the Missy Gators coming out on top and grabbing the district win.

The Missy Gators have mostly young players on their roster and have to compete against more experienced players as they strive for a district title.

The ladies will be back in action on August 24 when they host Florence at 6 p.m.
