MSU beats Notre Dame in front of a crowd of over 14,000

In game one of the NCAA Super Regional, Mississippi State University baseball team defeated Notre Dame in a 9-8 win on Saturday in front of a crowd of over 14,000 fans.

The win came from a huge home run by Logan Tanner in the bottom of the seventh inning while the Bulldogs maintained their lead to finish off the game. Rowdey Jordan also hit a home run in the sixth inning for MSU.

Landon Sims came in clutch on the mound for the Bulldogs in the eighth inning and racked up three key strikeouts.

Mississippi State improved to 44-15 overall while Notre Dame went 33-12 overall.

Mississippi State is one win away from making it’s 12th trip to the College World Series. Game two is scheduled for Sunday against the two teams at 5 p.m.
