Mississippi State University baseball defeated the University of Texas on Sunday in the College World Series 2-1.

Will Bednar and Landon Sims had an impressive performance on the mound as they combined for 21 strikeouts which is the most in the history of the College World Series.

Jordan Rowdy led things at the plate for MSU as he went 2 for 4 which added the the total of five hits that the Bulldogs collected.

The Bulldogs season now stays alive after the big win as MSU will play against the University of Virginia on Tuesday to keep fighting for a national title.
