The Mississippi State University football team snagged an in-state, three-star football player last weekend when Holmes County Central’s Corey Ellington committed to play for the Bulldogs in 2021.

Ellington, a junior,  is a three-star athlete who finished a great season for the Holmes Jaguars last year. He played on both sides of the ball at defensive back and wide receiver while leading the Jaguars to the first round of the playoffs.

He finished the 2019 season with 48 catches, 858 yards and 15 touchdowns. On defense, he managed to rack up 40 tackles along with an impressive seven interceptions for the Jaguars.

Ellington still has his senior year to play for Holmes County Central in the fall, but he has clearly made his mind up to be an MSU Bulldog after graduation.
