VICKSBURG, Miss. (VDN)-The Los Angeles Chargers have signed former Mississippi State University quarterback KJ Costello on Sunday.

Costello recently wrapped up his final senior season with the Bulldogs and went undrafted in the 2021 NFL Draft. He started the season off with a bang by throwing 623 yards and five touchdowns against LSU but his most productive year was in 2018 where he had 3,540 yards and 29 touchdowns while playing for Stanford.

The talented athlete is joining a skilled depth chart on the Chargers program, topped by Justin Hebert, as he prepares for his first season of national football.
