MVSU’s Jamari Jones predicted as SWAC’s Newcomer of the Year by HBCU Sports

Mississippi Valley State University football player Jamari Jones has been projected by HBCU Sports to be the 2022 SWAC Newcomer of the Year.

Jones, a East Mississippi CC transfer, threw for 2,728 yards and 33 touchdowns as he led the Lions to a 9-1 season under Head Coach Buddy Stephens.

The Fannin, Mississippi native chose MVSU over big schools such as South Carolina and Ole Miss.
