Nevol named as Hinds CC head basketball coach

Hinds Community College has named Jonathan Nevol as their new men’s basketball head coach.

Nevol has been an assistant coach with the Eagles since 2018 and now has earned a chance to takeover the program.

“Being named the head coach at Hinds is more than a blessing, I’m astonished, and I have to give credit to God,” Nevol said. “I prayed and kept faith that I would receive a blessing such as this. Hinds is a very special place to me, and I am excited to elevate this program to even a higher level.”

Nevol spent the 2016 season as Jones Community College assistant coach where he helped the Bobcats to a 29-2 record before becoming the head coach of Blue Mountain College.

With Nevol’s good history of coaching, the Eagles are destined for success under his leadership.
