New banners promote the City of Vicksburg to residents and visitors

Vicksburg residents and visitors will be seeing brand-new, brightly colored banners around town promoting the city.

The City of Vicksburg Traffic Department started placing the new banners Monday, Aug. 24.

Eight different designs featuring bright colors and quality-of-life-themes will be showcased on the banners on Halls Ferry Road, Cherry Street, Clay Street and in the Downtown District. The themes include Shop, Dine, Live, Play, Explore, Create, Fun and Work.

The project is a partnership between the Vicksburg Convention and Visitors Bureau and the City of Vicksburg.
