Ole Miss football player Andrew Burnett shot in Omaha

Ole Miss football player Andrew Burnett was shot Monday morning after celebrating his school’s national championship victory.

Burnett, 19, was struck in the leg at about 1 a.m., Monday in Omaha, Nebraska. According to witnesses, the gunshot came from a dark-colored extended cab pickup.

He has been since treated and released. Burnett is back at home in Memphis and is expected to make a full recovery.

Omaha Police are currently investigating the shooting and anyone with information can contact Omaha CrimeStoppers at 402-444-7867.
