One in custody for brandishing weapon Monday afternoon

Vicksburg police have arrested 35-year-old Christopher McAllister after he allegedly pulled a gun on an individual downtown.

Just before 4 p.m., officers were called to the 1100 block of Washington Street where a suspect was reported to have brandished a weapon before leaving the scene.

Officers caught up with McAllister a couple of blocks away and ultimately, McAllister was charged with simple assault – creating fear.
