One shot and killed on Clay near First North Street
One person has been shot and killed on Clay near First North Street.
At around 1:30 a.m., a Deputy came across a vehicle and realized that someone had been shot. Just a short time later, dispatch received a call that someone else was shot in the area of Court Street. That individual is 18-years-old and was struck in both of his legs and he has now been transported to UMMC.
At this time it is not clear on if the two shootings are connected to each other. VPD is currently working to identify the deceased.
