Oxford PD arrest a man for statutory rape

A man has now been arrested in Oxford and charged with statutory rape.

26-year-old Thomas Christopher Johnson was arrested on Thursday after a hospital notified authorities that a juvenile reported a sexual assault. He was then given a $30,000 bond for the charge.

Johnson has now been placed on hold by the by the Mississippi Department of Corrections.
