Vicksburg native Patrick Southerland got his first home run over the weekend.

Southerland, who plays for the Vicksburg Cannons, got his home run against the Clinton Reds. He also struck out five batters in the win.

The Vicksburg Cannons went on to play in the Championship Game where they defeated the Madison Thunder and Southerland finished with one hit.
