Former Vicksburg Deputy Police Chief Eric Paymon Sr. seriously injured in a car wreck

Lieutenant Eric Paymon Sr. of the Hinds County Sheriff’s Office was injured in a single vehicle accident on Highway 18 on Wednesday.

Paymon’s vehicle left the roadway and struck a utility pole around 11:30 a.m. He was then transported to the University of Mississippi Medical Center with serious injuries.

Paymon was a Deputy Police Chief at the Vicksburg Police Department before heading to Hinds County.
