PCA grabs a 9-1 win over Deer Creek on Tuesday

Porter’s Chapel Academy took down Deer Creek for a second time this week in a 9-1 win on Tuesday.

DC went up 1-0 in the first inning after getting a steal at the home plate. The Eagles quickly responded as Zach Ashley got a double that led to Gage Palmer getting the run score.

Ashley the got the next run for PCA after Laken Bradley hit a fly ball where as the Eagles went up 2-1.

Big hits in the second inning by Ashley, Taylor Labarre and a double by John Wyatt Massey, along with a sacrifice by Chase Hearn advanced PCA’s lead to 7-1.

To cap things off in the fourth, Massey hit a home run that pulled in the final two runs scores of the night as PCA took the 9-1 win.

Massey collected five RBIs on the day as he went 2 for 3 at the plate. Ashley and Palmer both went 2 for 2 with Ashley also getting two RBIs. Labarre and Brayden King also got a hit.

Ashley was on the mound for PCA and allowed only three hits while striking out five.
