PCA knocked off Wilkinson County Christian 11-6 on Saturday

Porter’s Chapel Academy softball team took down Wilkinson County Christian 11-6 on Saturday.

Alli Blackmon and Emily Phillipson got things started for PCA with hits in the first inning. Audrey Carraway doubled to bring in two runs as the Lady Eagles went up 4-0.

Sophie Masterson and Emily Muirhead helped PCA take a 7-4 lead late in the game with some big hits followed by a RBI by Natalie Cantin.

WCC picked up a couple of late runs late in the game to narrow PCA’s lead to 8-6.

Carraway stepped up once again and homered with three on base to help the Lady Eagles capture the 11-6 win.

Masterson and Muirhead struck out two on the day while Cantin went 3 for 3 at the plate. Carraway finished with five RBIs and three hits. Blackmon also added two hits while Muirhead got three RBIs.
