PCA softball team defeats Tensas Academy

VICKSBURG, Miss. (Vicksburg Daily News)–After taking a tough 14-1 loss to Prairie View Academy on Friday, Porter’s Chapel Academy bounced back on Saturday to defeat Tensas Academy 13-4.

PCA had a huge second inning, managing to score 10 runs as a team. Jacey Vines, Katie Tillman, Raegan Thornell and Sophie Masterson all had multiple scores.

Masterson got the win for PCA, pitching for three innings and striking out two batters. She also went 2 for 2 at the plate with three RBIs and one run score.

Marley Bufkin led the Lady Eagles at the plate by going 3 for 3 with two RBIs along with three scores while Emily Philipson had two RBIs.

PCA was led by head coach Chandler Upton who guided the young team to a well deserved win.
