PCA ties with Tensas and defeats Briarfield Academy 6-0 in Friday’s scrimmage

Porter’s Chapel Academy football team played in a scrimmage against Tensas Academy and Briarfield Academy on Friday.
Game One:
After Tensas scored two lengthy touchdowns early on in the scrimmage, PCA quickly responded with some big plays.
Ty Mack scored on a short run to get PCA on the board which was followed by a 45 yard touchdown pass from John Wyatt Massey to Jase Jung that tied the game at 12-12 for the final score.
Game two:
Briarfield Academy struggled to move the ball on PCA’s aggressive defense but eventually found themselves inside the five yard line. The Eagles still managed to stop BA and leave them scoreless in the game as Gage Palmer racked up a few tackles.
Massey would connect with Mack for a 60 yard touchdown as PCA took the 6-0 win.
PCA will host Kemper Academy on August 19.
