PG defeated WC on Friday night

Port Gibson High School girl’s basketball team came away with a 46-14 win over Warren Central on Friday.

By halftime, the Lady Waves had a 38-8 halftime lead after Ger’Kiya Flowers hit a couple of 3-pointers while Camara Evans knocked down a few shots.

In the second half, Shay Hodge helped the Lady Vikes at the free throw as she led WC with five points. Hedrick and Goods both profited from the 3-point line late in the game as PG earned the victory. Evans led with 16 points and Flowers put up 14. Hicks also hit a 3-pointer in the win.

Jakiya Perkins scored three points for WC while Mariah Harrison, Ana Bridges and Janiyah Scroggins all had two points.
