On Saturday, the inaugural Claiborne County Black Tie Kid’s Prom took place in Port Gibson.
Shiree White put on the even for the kids who were from ages 2-12.
“First of all , I wanna thank God for allowing me to be able to do this for the children of my hometown,” White said. “I had a Vision and the awesome parents of Claiborne County pulled it off.”
“Secondly, I wanna thank all of the parents who participated & supported my vision in this event, I couldn’t have done this without you. I think it’s clear to say they had fun. I felt like something was going to happen but I kept praying and planning, Yes I encountered a few set backs, but God still allowed this event to be a great success and I can honestly say that our babies enjoyed it! They were so beautiful. I also want to thank David Day & Keith Phillip with the Vicksburg daily news along with Claiborne County Sheriff Dept and Port Gibson Police Department for their help in this great occasion.”
“Lastly, I wouldn’t end my post without thanking , Harry Craft (Son) Everlean Craft (Daughter) DaNisha Minter (Daughter) Lawanda Myles, Jerinda Hamilton, Belinda Walker and Audrey Ward for all of their hard work from start to finish. I could not have done it without none of you all. So again, I’m so thankful. I love y’all and until next time.”
