Port Gibson triumphs over Crystal Springs in Friday night football showdown

Port Gibson High School triumphed over Crystal Springs with a 24-14 victory on Friday night.

Quarterback Cameron Gibson had a standout performance throughout the game. He opened with a 75-yard touchdown pass to Damion Miller and subsequently ran a successful two-point conversion.

Miller later received another touchdown pass from Gibson, this one covering 14 yards. The duo also succeeded with another two-point conversion. Not stopping there, Gibson dashed for a two-yard touchdown run. By the end of the game, he’d completed 7 of his 12 pass attempts, accumulating 147 yards.

On the receiving end, Miller showcased his skills with three receptions, amassing 110 yards. Meanwhile, Jeremy Brandon showcased his prowess in the run game, carrying the ball 17 times and gaining 105 yards.

Defensively, Anthony Brown led the Blue Waves in tackles, and Tredarius Smith made his mark with an interception.

With this win, PG’s record stands at 2-3. They are set to host Jefferson County, which has a 3-2 record, next Friday.
