Qualls on the run in Simpson County after warrant served on MLK in Vicksburg

Police have recovered a trove of stolen items from a house on MLK Boulevard Tuesday, and the suspect is the subject of a multi-agency manhunt.

According to law enforcement, officers were at the residence of Willie Gene Qualls to recover a 4-wheeler when they noticed other items around the home that looked suspicious.

After obtaining a search warrant, a large number of items that have previously been reported stolen were recovered.

Qualls is currently on the run near Magee with a multi-agency manhunt underway.  According to the Simpson County Sheriff’s Office, deputies were pursuing Magee along US Highway 49 in a stolen vehicle earlier today.  Qualls allegedly ran the vehicle into the woods and then fled on foot.
