Redmond A. Thornell, 1942 – 2023

Redmond A. Thornell was born November 25, 1942, and passed away July 1, 2023.

He is survived by his loving wife, Sylvia Thornell; sons Ray and Mike Thornell (Alicia); sister Sylvia Corban (Al); grandchildren Kimberly Thornell (Billy Dossett), Ryan Thornell (Whitley), Kaitlyn Thornell, Timothy Thornell, Mati Bond; great grandchildren Ethan Pogue and Charlie Pogue.

He is preceded in death by his parents Redmond and Christine Thornell, his sons Mark and Timothy Thornell; and grandson Brandon Thornell.

Visitation will be 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Friday, July 7, 2023, with graveside services at 11:oo a.m. at Greenlawn Gardens Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Shawn Spivey, Butchie Spivey, Eddie Murphy, Bobby Nelson, Craig Wallace, Sterling Spivey, Kevin Emerson, Carl Emerson, and David Emerson.

Flowers may be sent to Glenwood Funeral Home or In lieu of flowers the family asks donations be sent to the American Heart Association.
